Event Support Team

Role Purpose

The team is responsible for ensuring that the facilities and services on site remain available and functional for the duration of the event. We also give general help around the site when required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the hired onsite facilities to ensure maximum availability of shower and toilet units
  • To respond to reports of failures to units
  • To carry out repairs where safe and appropriate to do so
  • Being on call during the event in case our services are needed
  • Moving items around the site


Requirements

  • Clothing and footwear suitable for working outdoors in all weathers and conditions
  • Willingness to get involved in messy/unpleasant jobs
  • Proactive approach to prevent problems escalating
  • Practical skills and ability to handle basic tools
  • Problem solving skills
  • Enthusiasm, people skills and an ability to work in a team
  • Ability to take the initiative
  • Appropriate physical resilience for various roles
  • Common sense
  • Ability to use a two-way radio (we’ll provide training)
  • To be able to follow instructions


Expectations

You will work shifts across the event but also be on call during the event
